Ms. Mahendri Narayana Vasudeva is an experienced professional dietitian with almost three decades of experience and is registered dietitian under Indian Dietetic Association. She is versatile in her field with over 27 years of experience in Clinical Nutrition Service. She served at Christian Medical College, Vellore as Chief Dietitian & Administrative Dietitian during her academic and professional career that chiefly involved teaching and research in Dietetics and Nutrition apart from administration.

In her role as Chief Dietitian, she has gained expertise in preparing food that matches the needs of the patients, thus providing nutritional care. Holding lectures and undertaking research works on Nutrition and Dietetics has given her immense knowledge on Nutrition, Dieetetics & Health, which makes her the go-to-person for any diet-related healthy guidance.

She was faculty for CMC MPH Course, Family Medicine Fellowship programme, College of Nursing CMC, Course Coordinator for PG Diploma course in Dietetics offered by CMC, Vellore, Programme Coordinator for Six-Month-IDA RD Board Dietetic Internship programme at CMC Vellore and Faculty Trainer for NACO (National Aids Control Organization – India) for HIV counsellors/nurses/doctors,  Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre’ training programme and Diabetic Educator trainees under HOPE project WDF Project. She also conducted Internship training programme for external PG students (M.Sc in Food Service Management & Dietetics/M.Sc in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics/M.Sc in Food Science & Nutrition).

She has also been part of professional training programmes by participating in  training the trainer workshop for dietitians in IEM management, organized by  FSSAI &IDA, Delhi, EPI Data Workshop CMC, Vellore, BBNC short course (International Nutrition Research Methods Course) by St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bangalorein conjunction with the Harvard School of Public Health, and Tufts University held at SJRI in Bangalore, National Ketogenic Diet Workshop by Dr, J. Nathan-Mumbai, Train-the-Trainers’ Workshop by Indian Dietetic Association , Chennai, “Evidence based medicine workshop”- South Asian Cochrane Network, CMC, Vellore, Diabetic Educator Trainer’s Workshop, Project -HOPE Delhi, Internal Quality Assessors Training Program certified as Quality Assessor for CMC, Vellore and Training in Nutrition Assessment-HIV Adult & Pediatric Population, TUFTS, Boston, USA (FOGARTY) to name a few.

She has also been part of various independent and collaborative research studies undertaken for over two decades with her research articles published in various International and National Scientific journals and chapters in text books, manuals and modules on Food, Nutrition & Dietetics. She has also presented papers in various international and national conferences. She has vast experience as invitee speaker, author and committee member, all with regard to Food, Dietetics & Nutrition field during her long eventful academic career.

Ms. Mahendri holds M.Phil in Food & Nutrition having completed her M.Sc in Food Science & Nutrition with Second Rank from Mysore University. She also has MHRM from Annamalai University. She currently resides in Tumkur.
